TVP, textured vegetable protein
Take an iron skillet and heat a bit of oil in it. Fry the TVP briefly while adding some soy sauce. Add water to cover and simmer, while mixing in the dry taco seasoning to taste. When most of the water has evaporated, leaving only a pleasant moistness, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve with heated crisp taco shells or soft tortillas, chopped lettuce and some shredded vegan cheddar cheese.
